Heathcote Cricketers Head for England Print E-mail
Senior A Team

Promising young Heathcote cricketers Joe Taylor & Sam Gillard will be living the dream when they spent the coming winter in England playing cricket. Both are heading for West Sussex where Taylor will play for Pagham CC and Gillard for Aldwick CC, both in the Sussex Cricket League. Current Heathcote senior cricketer Craig Primmer has a long association with Pagham and has instigated the initiative along with life member, Roger Georgieff...

Shocking results on the field but some very close games and a lot of fun had by all.

Great team spirit and a lot of thanks goes to the organisational and captaincy skills of Scott Lucas. A lot of promise for next season!

Not Only Social Champions Print E-mail
Womens Grade

The women have maintained their reputation of club social champions and have even won a few games too. If there's a party going on you can pretty much guarantee they will be the best represented team and over the past few seasons that has been an enormous plus for the whole club. Long may it continue!

Tricky Start Turns to Victory for Courageous Senior A Team Print E-mail
Senior A Team
The Seniors had a difficult start to the season and unfortunately we had to default our senior B team half way through. Senior A though have definitely made it through the rain and are now starting to enjoy some well earned success on the field. Their team morale and hard work ethic has been a credit to the club and impressive to everyone. We already have very high hopes for the guys next season.

Dockrill, A Bad Tosser Again Print E-mail
Senior A Team
Chris Dockrill, courageous and valliant captain of the Seniors is however a self-proclaimed disaster when it comes to coin flipping. He has just broken the world record for continuous bad tosses. 47 unsuccessful tails calls in a row. Shocking Chris! Absolutely unacceptable.

Senior B Captain's Report for the 2004/05 Season Print E-mail
Senior B Team

by Kit Chambers

This was to become a very challenging season both on and off the field. The decision was made that the Club would enter a team in Senior B Competition now renamed 2 nd Grade and be of 45 overs one-day competition. Our idea was to assemble a group of young, enthusiastic and promising cricketers within the club and put together some experience players with them to hopefully observe and learn. This I think we achieved to a certain degree. Unfortunately we were hampered by certain player’s unavailability and various other explainable reasons, which led to a very difficulty selection process. This was not helped from a captain’s point of view when we were only able to field 11 players on time at 12.30 on only two occasions, plus the fact in some games we only had 9 or 10 players, a situation that must be addressed for the coming season. This problem I believe lies squarely with player commitment and better communications. As the season unfolded so did some talent and flair and it is interesting to note that whilst we only won 4 games we also only lost another 4 games by 10 runs or less.
